April Moves Things Forward—Whether You’re Ready or Not
Not everything can come with you—and this month makes that clear. Aries stellium and the Mars-Saturn conjunction.
April will show you where your fresh start really is.
If you’re sitting there thinking, ‘nothing’s changed yet’…welcome to April’s astrology lol. This month brings an Aries stellium—essentially a concentration of planets pushing the same message: endings that make space for beginnings. A reset in the Aries area of your chart. And yes, sometimes bridges need to be burned.
Hold onto your horses, because this is an intense month. Especially 18-20th April. Watch out for the 19th and 20th April in particular, you’re going to see a news story related to the ongoing state of affairs/DJT.
Before I get into it, let’s recap:
How have you been since the Libra Full Moon last week? Did you feel the impact the moon had on your relationships? Did you end a relationship? Were you asked to see someone differently—or to be more honest about how you feel?
How about the Venus-Pluto square that I wrote about last week? Did anything resurface—toxic exes, past connections, financial surprises, or power struggles?
Unfortunately I heard a story recently that stayed with me, and it speaks to the nature of that transit. A very terrifying situation of someone that I know of through my social circles. She is a tutor—helps students of varied ages. She was running late to her class so parked her car down a side street. When her class was over she was walking back to her car when she noticed a man stop when he saw her. He started to follow her. She went into a nearby shop, waited, then tried again—but he was still around. He then entered a block of flats. She thought she finally lost him and continued walking. He remerged from the flats, and started to follow her again. Luckily, she recognised a number plate of a car driving by that was one of her old students in the area—he dropped her off to her car and she drove home. She called 111 to report the man. The police reviewed the CCTV footage and confirmed he was following her, but also that when he entered those block of flats, he did so to pick up a syringe and fill it with a substance. She was shocked—she said that as a 40 year old, 6ft tall woman, she wouldn’t necessarily think she was a target. But it can happen to anyone regardless of age or height. Under certain transits, themes like power, vulnerability, and safety can become more pronounced (although this will always play out differently for everyone depending on your chart). Venus=the feminine, Pluto=abuse, danger, shocking events.
April carries charged astrology.
This period of time is about to get unpredictable. One of those transits that makes it a month to watch, is the double malefic, Mars-Saturn conjunction in Aries. (A reminder that you can download my free glossary here if you need help understanding some of the terms I’m using).
We also have the Aries stellium—meaning a pile-up of planets in one sign. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Chiron (asteroid), Saturn and Neptune all in Aries!
Aries is ruled by Mars—the God of War in Roman mythology (Ares in Greek mythology). So any planets in this sign answer to Mars, meaning, they must all act outwardly. Aries is about action, conflict, courage, and movement—there’s no sitting still with this energy.
This planetary pile-up triggers the energy of the current Saturn-Neptune conjunction. Saturn represents structure; Neptune dissolves. Together, they point to the breakdown of outdated systems, the collapse and dissolving of traditional structures.
Obviously with the current global state of affairs, you can put two and two together and recognise the direction this is about to lead us in. However, in your personal lives, this could relate to having to do the ‘hard thing’ in order to get the new beginning you’re looking for. What are you prepared to sacrifice in order to get what you want?
It’s one thing to want change. It’s another to make the decisions that require discomfort, honesty, or letting go. You might be tested on that this month. How bad do you want the fresh start you’ve been after? For example, if you’ve been asking for a new start in love, the universe may test how committed you are to this—old patterns could reappear, not to pull you back, but to show you how far you’ve come—and whether you’re ready to choose differently.
Before I continue, I want to note that I’m not trying to fearmonger with this post. It’s helpful to know the reality of what you’re dealing with and that others are experiencing and feeling similar to you. The majority of the impact of these transits will be seen on a collective level as we are dealing with outer planets. But on a personal level, there is a lot of power in your hands. That’s the point of all of this Aries energy—it brings it back to you. How do you want to use it? Is it a new hobby or project? Is it the motivation you needed to get yourself out of the rut you’ve been in? You hold the key to your own transformation here.
Aries demands honesty and transparency—where have you been holding yourself back? What have you been working on that you know you should be sharing publicly? With a New Moon coming up next week, get ready to confront where you’ve been afraid of visibility and start taking small steps to move beyond playing it safe as a mask for your authentic self.
All eyes on Mars.
Mars is currently in Pisces before moving into Aries on the 9th April—on the day that we finally leave Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow, hallelujah. As Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, this means Mars is ending a cycle that started in April 2024—is there anything that stands out to you that started back then and is finishing now?
From here Mars will eventually join Saturn and Neptune. Mercury follows Mars’ footsteps and makes its way into Aries, also connecting with Neptune, Mars and Saturn.
What to watch out for:
Don’t go looking for conflict. Choose your words carefully. Stay out of unnecessary drama. Be careful when driving and avoid road rage. If you can’t swim, stay the hell out of the water. Watch your stress levels. With Neptune involved, take your time before reacting, and don’t take everything at face value.
On a practical level: look after your health. Stay hydrated. Please take care of your mental health. If you struggle with addiction or know someone that does, this is a time to pay extra attention and support. Be careful of food poisoning.
That said, this energy isn’t only challenging—it can also be productive. These conjunctions can reward you, granted you’ve already been putting in the work. This could be a period where things begin to move quickly. You may find yourself stepping into greater responsibility, visibility, or authority. Saturn tends to reflect your own efforts back to you—so results will depend on what you’ve been building.
On a collective level: watch out for water related disasters, fires, earthquakes. Naval/shipping-related news as well as ongoing developments regarding oil. We could see entertainment-related news, particularly regarding celebrities or studio/streaming.
I said watch out for 18-20th April especially, but the energy ramps up from the 13th when Mars conjuncts Neptune in Aries. This is not a day to act impulsively. Don’t trust someone blindly. You may see acts of aggression driven by spiritual or ideological beliefs—spiritual/religious conflict.
The two-week ceasefire.
I’ll tell you every astrologer’s first thought: that timing aligns with the Mars-Saturn conjunction. Mars represents action, aggression, and momentum. Saturn represents restriction, limitation, karma, time, structure, and discipline. This is where things meet a wall. This is all about long overdue KARMA. Mars wants to act immediately; Saturn slows things down. So what you get is pressure—either a build-up of aggression being contained, or something reaching a breaking point. Either way, it’s a pressure point. With Neptune involved, there’s also the potential for confusion, misinformation, a potential false flag. A fall from grace or loss of power.
April key dates:
April 9th: Mars enters Aries. Mercury post-retrograde shadow ends.
April 13th: Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries.
April 15th: Mercury enters Aries.
April 17th: Mercury conjunct Neptune. New Moon in Aries.
April 19th: Mars conjunct Saturn in Aries.
April 20th: Taurus season begins. Mercury joins Mars and Saturn in Aries.
April 24th: Venus enters Gemini.
April 26th: Uranus enters Gemini. Venus conjunct Uranus. (Those of you into crypto, this will be an interesting date to watch).
If you’re a Cardinal sign (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn), April is pivotal for you:
Aries: All of this stellium energy in your sign. It’s time to step into the new identity you’ve been building behind the scenes. Try not to get overwhelmed with all of this energy and channel it into being the best version of you.
Libra: The Aries stellium is opposing you. It’s time to stop letting people play with you—’no’ is a complete sentence. Make your boundaries clear and stop keeping the peace with your silence. Let them feel your discomfort for once—that’s their consequence. Stop procrastinating on long overdue issues and confront them head on e.g. ongoing health issues.
Cancer: Tension between work/life balance. Time to stop side-stepping and start vocalising what you need in order to build a secure foundation for yourself. Aren’t you tired of the burnout? Identify the things or people that bring you comfort and surround yourself with that energy, it’s time to cater to you!
Capricorn: Do you still want the thing you’ve been building towards? It’s never too late to admit that you want to go in a new direction, you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone. No one’s going to tell you off.
Special mention to Virgo as this Aries stellium will be in your 8H of transformation, secrets, finances, and Scorpio: 6H of health, routine and work—take care of these areas during the month.
Uranus is heading towards Gemini.
I wrote about this in my 2026 astrology piece. The conflict we’ve witnessed so far, doesn’t end just yet, but you already know that from my explanation in that article and the patterns it resembles from history. I’m paying attention to Independence Day and the days around it.
When Uranus enters Gemini, watch how time is going to speed up all of a sudden. Until then, Uranus holds the anaretic degree of 29° Taurus. This means for the majority of the month, you’re going to feel the pressure or urgency around finances, resources, stability, and relationships—a culmination of all of these themes since 2018. Where does Taurus reside in your chart? That’s where your pressure point lies currently and where you’re about to wrap up a journey that began almost a decade ago.
An important final note.
I know the energy feels intense and overwhelming, but intensity doesn’t necessarily equal danger. It can also be momentum. You get to channel this energy into your new beginning.
Here’s another reason why that’s the case (and it’s good news):
Next week India and Indians around the globe celebrate the New Year. I’ll mention this more in my article next week along with the New Moon details. But I say this now to give you the heads up. Clear your space. Let go of what you don’t need. Make room, physically and mentally, for what’s next. Channel the Mars energy by burning incense. Pray and meditate this month!
Take care of you!

Excellent assimilation of April preparedness. Health and safety has been a prevalent theme and I have had people I have not heard from in years reach out to inquire if “all is well”. With that being said, I am proceeding with caution. Not fear mongering per se, since it literally is being reiterated on more than one platform. You gave a very nice approach and I really enjoy the specific dates. Thank you!!!!!!😊
How frightening for your friend!!!! I was scared reading what happened. Thank goodness for the safe outcome.
Yesterday the 8th came home to find septic water coming back into the shower and toilet. So yes today the 9th we need a plumber. I came home shocked to find this and for ONCE went and just sat down and put my husband in charge because its ALWAYS me me me to do everything and problem solve. NOT today. Today he stays home, he waits for the plumber and problem solves. I will go to work and concentrate on MY new adventure that I love.
Very interested in how the new year is in India. I had no idea about this celebration 😃
